In October 1965, 1493 Ningjiang entrepreneurs with the ambition of building Da San Xian moved from Nanjing Machine Tool Factory to Dujiangyan, and China's precision machine tool research and development and production base was born.

On June 25, 1979, Ningjiang took the lead in breaking through the restricted area of 'means of production are not commodities' under the planned economy system, and was the first in the country to advertise orders for direct sales of products in the People's Daily, making a significant contribution to the reform of China's economic system.

In 1982, Ningjiang successively won the 'National Enterprise Management Award' (Golden Horse Award); 'The People's Republic of China National Quality Award' and other awards, the company's products from only for instruments, meters, military industry services, to watch, camera, radio, hardware, toys and other industries services, become a nationally renowned machinery manufacturing enterprises.

On November 18, 2000, Ningjiang bid farewell to the 35-year state-owned Ningjiang Machine Tool Factory and ushered in the birth of Chengdu Ningjiang Machine Tool (Group) Co., LTD., which marked that Ningjiang entered a new world and the development history of Ningjiang began to write a new chapter.

In October 2006, Ningjiang and Wuliangye Pushi Group joined hands to set up Pushi Ningjiang Machine Tool Co., LTD., realizing the combination of technical advantages and capital advantages, the comprehensive strength of the enterprise has been improved qualitatively, and the development prospects of the enterprise have been broader. In October 2007, the company completed the overall relocation, and provincial, municipal and industry leaders attended the inauguration ceremony of the new plant.

In June 2024, Ningjiang Company turned around and became a wholly owned state-owned company absolutely controlled by Wuliangye Group, thus playing a new movement of second entrepreneurship.
